BDI-4
also known as
4-Hour Basic Driver Improvement and
4-Hour DDC (Defensive Driving Course)
It's
a beautiful sunny day, you're grooving to the tunes playn' on
88.1 Way-FM
and you're on your way to that well deserved vacation. You're
going on a cruse to sparkling Bermuda or Aruba, and the warm,
turquoise waters of the Caribbean is calling your name and await
your arrival. Visions of tropical drinks (in moderation), and 7 days of
total rest and relaxation with your family (or friends) is exactly what the doctor ordered.
But suddenly you hear the piercing sound of the siren, and over
the loud speaker, law enforcement is politely asking that you
pull safely to the side of the road... ARRRRRR
It could be
worse
Getting a
citation is not what you would consider as fun nor a great way
of starting off your vacation. Running a red
light, speeding, improper lane change do have a consequence ...
injury or death. And the State of Florida does not want you to
end up as a statistic. Electing the option, or being court
ordered to attend traffic school is actually a "good thing" that
few states offer, but are catching on fairly quickly. And, the
nice thing about it is: you do have choices.
Classroom or
Home? The Choice Is Yours.
Times have
changed since you've last attended traffic school. Gone are the
days of blocking out time to attend a class filled with total
strangers, finding a sitter or giving up one of your treasured
week-end days -- or worse -- a week night. Besides, you have
better things to do, and attending traffic school is not high on
the priority list.
But, if you
don't want points assessed on your license in addition to your
insurance rate rising, we do have a solution to your
4, 8 or 12 hour
dilemma. Attend online!
It's Easy as 1,
2, 3!
Attending
traffic school and the
First Time Driver Program on-line is easy
with benefits that I'm sure you would like to know about. For
starters, it saves you money. How, you may ask? Well, it's less
money coming out of your pocket when you take it on-line. You
don't have to fill up the tank, take time off from work, miss
your evening meal, or hire a sitter to watch the kids. You can
take the course on any computer with Internet access -- any time
-- day or night. Best of all, you can schedule it around your
time, and either take the course in one sitting or, in little
sections spaced over a 30, 60 or 90 day time frame. The choice
is yours.
How does our
Internet course work?
Our program
is broken down in several mini modules, with one final
exam. As mandated by the State of Florida Department of Highway
Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), the course requires at least
four (4) hours to complete, which of course will vary depending
on one's reading and comprehensive ability. Our 4-hour program
is a Florida State DHSMV approved Internet course that will
fulfill traffic school requirements for all 67 counties. This
course is taken in the privacy of your own home, or any computer
connected to the Internet, and at your own pace.
Upon
completion of the final exam, a certificate will be mailed to
you. When you receive your certificate, please keep in mind that
it is highly suggested that you make a copy of your certificate
for your own records and, it will be your responsibility to
submit the original certificate -- which is proof that you
satisfied the courts requirement -- to the clerks office in the
county that you received the citation or court order. Upon the
county clerks office receipt of your certificate, adjudication
is withheld and points will not be assessed to your license.
Remember:
Failure to complete the course in the designated time allowed
can result in license suspension.
Do I have to
take all 4 hours at one time? Can I log on and off the program
anytime?
To answer
your first question, Absolutely not! And that's one of the
benefits of this course.
To answer
your second question, upon registration, you select your user
name and password that allows you to Log in. This allows you to take the program in the
privacy and comfort of your own home -- or -- any computer with
browser capability. Complete the program at your own pace, any
time day or night. You can log into and out of the program as
many times as you like while our state-of-the-art technology
automatically tracks your time and stopping point -- so --
you'll always start exactly where you left off when you last logged
in.
When will I
receive my certificate?
All courses
completed after last mail retrieval are immediately mailed the
following day, excluding week-ends and holidays. And we realize
that you're on a dead line so we continue to fulfill certificate
completions way into the wee hours of the night.
All
certificates are mailed to the address provided at time of
registration. Certificates of completion are mailed via U.S.
Postal Service and is usually received within three days.
Next Day and 2-Day Delivery is available. Certificate of
completion mail options are arranged when you register for the
course.
What is the
price of your Internet course?
The cost is $25.00 for the
Internet course. A savings of $10.00 (or more), as compared to
the class room attendance programs. Payments can be made
by paying online with a major credit card or bank
debit card.
